Growth Through Innovation Conference
Are You Ready to Innovate?
Learn how to grow your agri-business conference
In early December, Perennia will be hosting the Growth Through Innovation Conference at the Perennia Innovation Centre, Bible Hill, Nova Scotia. The focus of the event is to share how others have innovated in any number of areas (for example, product development, marketing, packaging, human resources) and to be the kick start of a process of continuous support for participants through an online forum/sharing board after the event. There are only 40 seats available with a priority being given to growers and processors.
The conference will start with a food and wine pairing networking mixer on the evening of December 5, 2012 followed by the main conference on December 6th. Speakers include: John Rowe, creator of Honibe, David Hoffman; co-CEO of the Bragg Group of Companies; a panel with the owners of Ironworks Distillery, Pearl & Daisy natural soap company and Sledding Hill, as well as a session on value chains and a working session on how to create and develop new ideas in your business. Mentorship groups with key representatives from funding agencies, Perennia and partners to help answer participant questions of where to go next or what resources are available to help, will close the event.
Registration is $85 + HST and includes all sessions, the networking mixer, breaks and lunch.
Partners in the conference are NSDA, Dalhousie University Faculty of Agriculture, ThinkFarm, Nova Scotia Federation of Agriculture and the Value Chain Management Centre.
