Grower License Applications

By submitting the completed the Grower License Application, and paying any outstanding levies to the NSCP office each year, you maintain your “current licensee” status with NSCP. This means you are compliant with the Cattle Producers Marketing Regulations, allows you can participate in the various programs and services we offer, as well as receive industry updates through our newsletters (printed, and electronic). Livestock Dealer License

Notice is given to assist in the maintenance of public health and food safety by tracking the whereabouts and origin of beef cattle. The Nova Scotia Cattle Producers hereby give notice on May 24, 2011 in accordance with Sections 3 and 4 of the NSCP Regulations which states:

“A person must not raise, buy, sell or process beef cattle in the regulated area without a licence of a type that authorizes them to do so.”

This means all growers, buyers and processors must register annually with NSCP in accordance with the Regulations. Licenses expire on December 31 and must be renewed in order to conduct business as a grower, dealer or processor in Nova Scotia.  An NSCP inspector may inspect the books, records premises and transport vehicles of a producer or purchaser at any time determined by the Commodity Board.
